One of the most useful functions of the i-bar, outside of its utility as an additional revenue source, is the ability to promote multiple council services in one place and promote channel shift goals by re-directing users to complete activities online rather than through a phone call or council contact centre visit.


The CAN team are happy to assist in the creation of a channel shift promoting house I-bar which can require very little work from the council. In its simplest form the house i-bar contains text links to the services that you would like to promote. Please see below an example.

Alternatively they can be more complex and contain graphics that correspond to a specific service. In this case the Council would need to supply the graphics to be incorporated.


We are able to record the number of clicks each link on the I-bar receives and therefore the number of users that have been redirected to each page. This information can be used to estimate cost savings or simply as a point of interest.
